The double clicker

The clicker can be an archer’s best friend. If used correctly, it increases accuracy and shot management.

Easy adjustment

  • Adjustment every 0.5 mm possible
  • Two distinct shapes to get two different “clicks”
  • Innovative material for a dry and clean “click”
  • No annoying vibrations

You can use one as a regular training or competition clicker

Start your journey to full management in the use of the clicker. Remember that the sequence is the engine of the technique and the anchoring phase must be completed before moving on to the actual aim, which I call “active aiming”. Once the position is complete, there should be very few millimeters left of the tip from the clicker click and I will help you reach this goal. Champions leave only 1 or 2 millimeters to the active aiming phase and this is to avoid changing the position during expansion! Why can’t we do the same? Follow the exercises proposed below and start this path towards precision

Step 1: Regularize the contacts (distance 5-7 mm)

Position the two clickers so that the first one clicks as the string brushes against your nose. This way you will have control over the sprint from the first contact with the rope. This will lead you to increase the precision in gripping the string with your fingers, in positioning your hand in the bow and throughout the set up phase, regularizing everything that happens during the construction of the position. The expertise you put into the realization of the set up and pretraction in fact, has a very strong impact on the final stretch and this greatly varies our exit times. NB: I recommend that you look at the clicker until the first one clicks.

Arrange them so that the first one clicks as the rope brushes against your nose

Step 2: Completing the anchor (distance 3-5 mm)

Once you have assimilated exercise 1 well, move the first clicker back so that it clicks while you are completing the anchor position (the moment when you will raise your eyes towards the target), already after obtaining contact with the rope to the face. This will help you in the transition to active aiming and will lead you to the reduction of millimeters of expansion. NB: you can also perform a “blink” or blink, in the transition between phases, many great champions do this. Complete the stance, start active aiming and expand until you get follow through

Step 3: Towards perfection (distance 1-3 mm)

Once you have assimilated exercise 2 well, move the first clicker back so that it clicks once the anchoring position is completed. Remember that it is complete, once the precise positioning of the hand under the chin and against the neck has been obtained, as well as after the arch has been fully opened. Active aiming starts right at this point, i.e. once the full reach and the final position have been reached. NB: the less the amount of tip under clicker, the less chance there will be of movement during the active aiming phase. For this reason, large samples leave even less than 1 millimeter at this stage!

Now start active aiming and final expansion towards follow through
